Olivine TidePools

Ever sense visiting the Makapu'u Tidepools on Oahu...I have become obsessed with tidepools! Mostly because it is like living in a dream; the vast ocean before you, a perfect natural swimming pool, and the amazing fish they hold. It's almost like a secret goal of mine to go to tidepools on all of the islands like Queens Bath on Kauai, these here on Maui, and i'll let you know the rest when I get there! :) These tidepools are located on the Kahekili Highway on the West/North side of Maui. Just about a 10 min drive down the road from the Nakalee Lookout!

Boulder Flatirons Hike

Every year I look forward to 303 day because I LOVE to celebrate my heart and soul, Colorado. For those of you who don't know, Colorado really is THAT cool that we get our own day, 3/03. Which also means you should be listening to 3OH!3 all day haha! Or go out and do something only a Coloradan would do, like Hiking the Flatirons!

California

This winter break Rashawn and I got to experience California Living! I have probably been to the state 10 times but this was the first trip I got to explore on my own and move around! We started in LA and went to San Francisco and ended in New Port Beach! It is so much fun to travel at this age, and especially with your best friend. Experiencing things together makes the trips more memorable and way more fun!

Griffith Observatory

On our last day in California we spent exploring some of Los Angeles! My most favorite thing was getting to see the Griffith Observatory. I had seen it on Instagram and Pinterest before and knew I had to put it on my list! And I will for sure be back because there was so much we didn't get to see and do there!

Pacific Coast Highway

It is safe to say I have a thing for coastal drives. Between my Island Tour of Oahu, driving the Road To Hana, or the Piliani Highway and now the Pacific Coast Highway: oceanside is the place to be. The drives are so amazing because who doesn't sit in awe of the amazing coasts we have?! The drive its self is so beautiful and there is actually so much to do on the way! We will be back because we didn't get to see and do all we wanted!

Hanging Lake

Hanging Lake is located in Glenwood Springs, Colorado and is so worth the mountain drive. You may have seen it on various blogs or explore pages because it is so unique! I remember the entire hike I had this imagine in my head from seeing the pictures, but when I finally saw it I was even more impressed! Pictures hardly do it justice; it's magical.

Nashville

Nashville, Tennessee home to the honky tonk tunes, southern food, and of course those good southern feels! I have been to Tennessee quite a few times to visit my Omi and Opi, and usually our trips to Nashville include a great lunch and a trip to Opry Mills Mall. But this time I got a chance to explore the city!

Parthenon

There is so much to see and do in Tennessee from eating all the delicious southern food or dancing to the country music a lot of people don't realize it is also home to a full size replica of the ancient Greece Parthenon!  It is so beautiful and so cool to bask in its massiveness!

Camping at Haleakala

Imagine waking up to the sounds of waves crashing and the golden sunlight warming your skin through your tent window all while sitting on a cliff overlooking Maui's ocean. Let me tell you: it's true paradise. While in Maui, after driving the Road to Hana our plan was to camp at Haleakala National Park. I orginally got this idea from saving money rather than staying at the Hana Hotel. Once we arrived in Maui our shuttle driver told me that same "imagine..." and I was so excited for my camping experience!

Piilani Highway

Besides the actual Road to Hana, the road out of Hana was my second favorite thing about Maui. The Piilani Highway was also unlike any drive I have ever been on! It felt like we were driving through every climate from Rainforest, to the African dessert, to Rocky Mountains, the Piilani Highway will show you it all. A lot of people drive to Hana and turn around and drive out but I promise you if you keep chugging on you will not regret it!

Maui Ocean Center

While on Maui we decided to check out the Maui Ocean Center because we were told it was the best Aquarium on all of the islands! I can defiantly say it was better than Oahu's sadly, you would think for such a tropical place the aquarium would be great, but I guess they let the oceans do all the showing off :)

Maui

MAUI IS A DREAM// If it isn't already on your travel list you need to add it now! It was the most beautiful island, I mean everywhere I looked was a gorgeous view. Not to mention the Hawaiian Roller Coster Ride on the Road to Hana. There are so many beautiful beaches, great camp sites, and countless valleys, mountains, and waterfalls to explore. A true dreamland.

Waimanalo

The bluest of blues water and the whitest of white sand is what you get on the voted number on beach on Oahu. Waimanlo is on the east side heading North towards Lankiai beach. The water is so blue and relaxing you can float out there for hours! Many people bring floaties and fins and play all day.

Island Tour: Oahu

Welcome to the Island of Oahu, Hawaii! Home to over ONE MILLION people. Our little island is only 40 miles wide (thats the distance of home to Boulder for all my friends) and only 112 miles around. So really you can get around the island pretty easily and in basically no time...oh wait remember the part of ONE MILLION people? We're a bit over populated here on Oahu so our traffic happens to be the second worst behind LA, California! So this little island trip will take a good 5 hours to a potential day depending on the number and duration of your stops. I recommend starting as early as possible and finishing as late as possible! This way you can spend good time at each location and really enjoy everything there is to offer, because although small we have so much to give here!

Sandy Tidepools

Sandy's beach is one of our go to beaches here because you can easily see people you know or play in the shore break. But one of my favorite secretive places is the little Tidepool here. If you walk on the right side of the beach towards the bowl hole you will come across tons of beautiful fun little spots in the rocks.

Off Roading

While in Lake, City this summer, my family and I also got to do some serious off roading! While in Telluride last summer my dad, brother, and I did an off roading tour with Telluride Off-road Adventures to the old mining grounds. It was SO COOL! We knew our off roading days were not over then. So this summer when we found a few off roading sites in Lake City we were pretty excited! Even more so when we convinced my mom to come with us this time!
