Boulder Flatirons Hike
That's a Nice Lookin' Boulder
Every year I look forward to 303 day because I LOVE to celebrate my heart and soul, Colorado. For those of you who don't know, Colorado really is THAT cool that we get our own day, 3/03. Which also means you should be listening to 3OH!3 all day haha! Or go out and do something only a Coloradan would do, like Hiking the Flatirons!
This hike is the Boulder Flatirons Hike located right outside the University of Colorado Boulder. My best friend Georgia goes there and took my mom, brother, and I on a CU adventure!
We hiked all the way up to the top of the first Flatiron pictured above! The hike was moderate and make sure you have some great shoes, lots of water, and sunscreen (this is applicable 365 days a year in CO because the mile high brings stronger sun rays!). It is such a gorgeous hike which has made it pretty popular so expect crowds!
This is me and my bestie on what I thought was one of the coolest parts of the hike! It's a pretty easy climb up the bed, but do go slow and make sure you are on a stable rock! It is easy to step on a lose rock and loose your balance.
Like I said the views on this hike are so beautiful. Colorado's landscape is unlike anything! The beautiful mountains, and hills, and the distant sight of Denver make stunning views all over. Not to mention the forest and flowers (See my video below) all add up to a perfect sight. I was also loving the colors on these rocks, to see such vibrant colors is so cool.
It isn't called Boulder for just any reason! :P There are so many climbable rocks along the hike as long as you are carful. And only go to extreme places (like my brother in the picture below) if you are experienced and courageous!!
The Flatirons have three total and we went to the first one! Lots of people hike up with their rock climbing equipment and explore the others, so do some further research if you wanted to go beyond!
