welcome to the life of sav
Life as a wife, mother, daughter, adventurer, and other sparks in-between ✨
At 40 weeks and 4 days I gave birth to a beautiful little angel. Our sweet Nyla girl was born all naturally on August 25, 2020 coming in at a sweet 6 lbs and 15 oz. She ended up being delivered at St. Joseph hospital, which was not the original plan, but ended up being the most magical experience we could have asked for.
Welcome to our 2020 Zoom Wedding! We couldn’t let anything stop us from saying I do… not even a pandemic! We celebrated with our parents, my aunt + uncle, and our closest family and bridal party/groomsmen on Zoom. Come check out this unforgettable day of love!
Hello home stretch! I truly cannot believe how fast pregnancy went! I remember the day I found out so vividly. These last 9 months were truly a glorious time for me and I have been so blessed to have had such a wonderful pregnancy. It is so hard to believe after this final phase our baby girl will be here! We truly cannot wait…
Hello second Trimester! This honeymoon phase of pregnancy went by in a flash. The global pandemic really slowed down life around us and gave me a chance to be in full nesting and resting mode. I finally feel really pregnant and am starting to get a nice round belly. I cannot wait to see what this phase brings.
Pregnancy is one of the most joyous times in any new families life. A season of growth, nesting, and quarantine!? Well maybe we didn’t sign up or expect that last part. The COVID-19 pandemic threw a wrench in everyone’s life, so what was it really like for me to be pregnant with my first baby during it all…
I am so excited to announce I am becoming a mommy! It has always felt like a life calling to me and something I have dreamed about since I was a little girl. I spent over 12 years around babies and kids being a mothers helper, nanny, and working at a day care. All of these experiences have prepared me for this next chapter of life and I cannot feel more blessed. Baby Wong will enter this world sometime between late August and early September.

This is a day I want to relive 1,000 times again. Before our Holiday trip, Rashawn told me he had a surprise for me in Florida. We were already planning to spend New Years Eve in Miami so I immediately thought the big surprise would be a concert. As our Miami adventure got closer I was getting more and more excited for what ever the big surprise was.
After what seems like forever (and a day) I have finally launched SaltWaterGoods. If you have been following me for any stretch of time you might have seen me bring it up once or twice then *crickets*. To be honest, I was just so scared! What if you guys hate it - what if no wants it - what if, what if what if....
Oh how beautiful are the seasons of life...
Last year was a wild year for me. If you keep up with the craziness of my life and SaltWaterVibes than you know that Rashawn and I packed up everything and set sail to travel the world! You can read more about it here. After traveling Asia and the States for a few months we decided to make one more crazy decision and move to BELGIUM!
Tomorrow marks my 23rd journey around the sun. I feel so weird about this age - and I can’t really tell you why other than the fact it makes me feel grown. 22 was all about having fun and learning to live with an attitude of gratitude. I embarked on a year of unknowns, travels, and learning a lot more than I bargained for!
Hawaii. A magical chain of tiny islands in the middle of the pacific. So perfect, so magical, so me. I made a huge life decision - to pack my bags, buy a one way ticket, and set sail into a brand new adventure leaving my love, Hawaii, behind.
Back in 2013 I made the life changing decision to go to the University of Hawaii at Manoa. My decision to come here was pretty easy. I was recruited to swim for the D1 program here, and knew I wanted to go to a school by the beach. After a few trips to Florida and one to Hawaii -- the decision was effortless. Over the next 3 years I got to have one of the most unique college experiences.
So what is it really like to go to school in Hawaii. Are classes really on the beach and do people actually major in surfing?? Well—if you are into things like Marine Biology, which is a very popular choice here, then yes sometimes class really can be at the beach! We do have surf clubs and excursions but for actually studying you’ll have to stick to the basics ;)
Growing up, it was common to hear, "I can't I have swim practice" coming from my friends and I. I always smelled like chlorine and may have been guilty of wearing a CAC shirt to school everyday. But, swimming was one of the biggest blessings in my life.
Carving a Pumpkin is my favorite Halloween tradition, but because this is the last Hawaiian Halloween I'll have I had to add a tropical spin. Carving a pineapple is much easier than a pumpkin! To start you need less supplies, just a few bowls, a knife, and a spoon will do. Cut the top off just as you would a pumpkin.
By now, if you know anything about me it's probably that I'm a super smiler. I consider my smile to be my best accessory, I mean I take it everywhere! ;) Because it is so important to me, it's crucial I take care of it the best way possible. In the past I tried Crest White Strips, Baking Soda toothpaste, and some not so helpful DIY strategies to make my teeth sparkle but nothing has compared to the results I got with Smile Brilliant!
So I'm really unprepared for this 'adult' thing, I still run around in bikinis and jean shorts everyday. I need a mature look, so to start I got some new accessories from Boho Betty! I bought 4 new bracelets and loveee them. I can't wait to keep adding to my collection. After wearing them for a few weeks I noticed they are all multi-purposeful! This bracelet is one of my favorites becuase of its ocean blues :)
This post is dedicated to my loving parents. I wanted to say Happy Mothers Day to my Mommy and Happy Birthday to my Daddy! Last year the two got to share the day when Mother's Day was on the 10th! This year I decided to combine my post into one even though it wasn't the same day again. I LOVE seeing all the love mamas get on Mothers Day, I just didn't want my mom's shine to get lost so cheers to #LaterGrams!
I just happened to have one of the best Valentines ever thanks to this handsome man. This marks our third Valentines spent together, second one as a team :) But each year he has made it nothing short of magical. Our day started at Jai Dee Thai Massage, we got a couples massage over viewing Waikiki on our rose peddle covered tables, heavenly!
Thanksgiving is one of those Holidays that is just good for the soul. You are surrounded by family and friends, eat delicious food, and get to think extra hard about all the things you are thankful for! I decided to make my list of some of the things I am thankful for, even though my list is endless, here's what fills my heart up!
Carving Pumpkins is one of my favorite things about Halloween and fall. Living in Hawaii I couldn't help my self but to carve my pumpkins from Aloun Farms on the beach!
Living in Hawaii, the opportunity to see any professional sports team is always slim so when I heard that the Lakers were retuning to Hawaii you can imagine the excitement! The Lakers used to come to Hawaii every year since 1998 for their one week long training camp and few preseason opener games. However due to the large cost the team has not come since 2007. It's such a treat they decided to come back this year!
I deep down knew that the first few times I saw Rashawn I was going to be with him. I don't know if it was love at first sight persay but, I was pretty drawn to him. First I mean look at that killer smile! How can you resit it? But besides that Rashawn is the first person that I have genuinely felt like myself with. Of course that took time and trust to build up, but he is the first person to break down all of my walls.
At 40 weeks on the day, I gave birth to our second beautiful little angel. Our sweet Marli girl was born all naturally on December 1st 2023 coming in at a sweet 7 bs and 14 oz. She was delivered at St. Joseph hospital, and was truly another magical experience.
