these three museum are unlike any museums you’ll ever go to. from double takes, cold seats and a few shocking surprises your in for a real adventure here in South Korea
trick-eye museum
It's tricky to rock a rhyme, to rock a rhyme that's right on time - It's tricky tricky tricky! Welcome to the Tricky Eye Museum where everything might not be as it seems. These walls here are no ordinary walls, grab your best buddy and come see for your self!
The whole purpose of this museum is to make you do a double take. There were plenty of times I was fooled! All around the museum different scenes are painted. If you stand at justttt the right angel you might just blend right in!
whats the deal with the app?
When you first check into the Trick Eye Museum they encourage you to download there special App. I would defiantly download and try it no matter what because it does create some cool special effects sometimes. ha! Its more so funny just to see whats going on at the scene. Below is an example, on the App it added in Beer Foam and a dancing Gingerbread man! There were some really really neat animations that honestly just blew my mind at how it all worked! If you use the App, I would just recommend taking a snap with the app, and one without!
Basically this place is a photo lovers dream! We were so snap happy here it was hilarious! Because you will pose and shoot, pose and shoot until it looks JUST right! I think that is part of what make it so much fun! For hours we were just posing and laughing historically at our attempts. We decided to just use our iPhones for photos here because it was just a bit complicated on my Nikon at the time, and we were flipping between camera and Tricky Eye App!
How To Nail The Perfect Photo
There are a few secrets here on capturing a great photo! Thankfully, they let you in on the biggest one, where to stand! Each scene is marked with a ‘stand here’ sign painted on the ground. So once your partner is posing just make sure you are standing there! Then just move up or down to get the best effect! It is so much fun to play around with poses here.
I would recommend this adventure be done with a buddy or two. We did see one solo traveler wondering around but poor guy had to pick his favorite scenes to ask someone to snag his pic. Which of course is a very empowering thing! I just think it is so much fun to pose around and take lots of pictures of Rashawn and I :)
how much does it cost?
Rashawn and I are still early on in the travel game so we have to be pretty frugal! When I found this adventure the first thing I did was look up a coupon - and thank goodness I did! Using this coupon from Trazy you get access to all THREE museums for almost half off. It is very legit, they were able to just scan the codes right from my phone after I purchased. For all three it was about $11! Where as if you just walked up to the museum you only get access to the Trick Eye and Ice Museum and it cost about $13 [15,000 Won].

ice museum
Brrrr it’s cold in here there must be some ICE in the atmosphere! This was such a coool experience for us because we both have never been to an ice bar or anything chill like that! Haha I’ll stop :) But in all honestly seeing an Ice Museum is a unique check off the bucket list!
After you walk through the Trick-Eye Museum you will exchange your tickets for a “warmth vest”! This shall is supposed to keep you a tad warmer in the negative degree atmosphere. You can only stay in here for about 10 minutes too so make your time worth while!
I thought it was super cool to see all the ice structures and sculptures. Plus, they even have a giant ice slide to go down right when you walk in! Rashawn and I were elbowing 10 year olds to go first ;)
Make sure you wear closed toe shoes when you visit or your feet might fall off :)

love museum
Welcome to the Love Museum! This place is unlike anywhere I have ever been - but just so you know this is NOT a kid friendly adventure. It is Rated R - so much so this is the only ‘safe’ picture I have to share with you from here!! It is a hilarious sight to see and Rashawn and I were truly cracking up at every corner. Here is their website so you can see a little more about what I mean. Lots of nudity. Lots of parts. Lots of fun! HAHA
I wouldn’t recommend taking mom and dad here, but hey it’s your life! The Love Museum is just on a different floor so just have them point you up the elevator!
If you just want to see the Love Museum you can grab a ticket for 8,000 Won or about $7!

BONUS: mirror Maze
One thing I thought was so neat was the BONUS mirror maze!! These things always trip me out and make me just want to crawl on all fours until I find my way out ha! It is right before the Ice Museum so don’t miss it! :)
