Chatfield Farms Corn Maze
colorado's best corn maze
It's the best time of year... FALL! And nothing says fall more than a good old fashion Corn Maze! I recently went to the Chatfield Farms Corn Maze sponsored by the Denver Botanic Gardens and it was amazing! I love a good ole fashion Corn Maze to get me right in the Fall time mood!
For me, Fall is not Fall without three things: Corn Maze, Pumpkin Patch, and of course Starbucks Pumpkin Spice latte :) I am coming up on my last week in Colorado so I can't wait to go back to Aloun Farms and get my pumpkin picking on! But, we unfortunately do not have a corn maze on Oahu, so I knew I had to go to Chatfield Farms before I left!
This day was perfect because I got to go with my new friend and blogging babe Kristen! Her blog is your go to spot for cute clothes and fun adventures! I love the blogging community because there is so many amazing people here and it is so fun getting to know everyone and their stories! Kristen is the cutest so make sure you check her out!
Chatfeild corn maze is in partnership with the Denver Botanic Gardens so if you are a member than you get free tickets to the maze! If you want to learn more about becoming a member you can find information here.
How long does it take?
Give your self at lest an hour to get though maze, although we made it through twice in an hour! You never know what can happen :)
I think this corn maze was so cool because of the shape of the maze! I sooo wish I had a drone for this because I bet an aerial view would be super neat! They will give you a free laminated map at the beginning of the maze, you just have to return it when your done! It actually does help, we could tell when we were in the letters!
Can I pick the corn?
You are not allowed to pick the corn but we found a few pieces on the ground as we walked through so you might get lucky, but please refrain from picking any!
Kristen just bought her new Kodiak hiking boots and decided to break them! Which is a great idea, because you will definitely want to wear closed toe shoes for this adventure! I would recommend boots as your best option, and some you don't mind getting a little dusty!
Another reason to wear closed toe shoes is because wildlife does live here! There are warnings of spiders, bugs, and snakes so just always have a watchful eye in your area. Never crawl through the corn stalks because of this and it could damage them.
When Is it open?
The Chatfield Farms Corn Maze is open Monday-Sunday from 10am til 6pm more details on time here. The last ticket is sold at 4:30 pm. If you are a Denver Botanical Member there are lots of FREE days! Here is more information on how to claim your passes. For non-members the prices are:
They also offer A Haunted Corn Maze starting on September 30th! So if you want to get into the Halloween Spirit the classic way check out the information here under 'Dead Zone Haunted Attraction'!
I will warn you... it is HOT! We went right smack in the middle of the day and the sun was blaring down on us! So make sure to wear your SunBum and bring shades and water! Or if you are like us you'll opt for the Kona Ice at the end :)
Put me right back Home :)

warning
Like mentioned above it can be very hot so it is important to stay hydrated and cool to prevent heat exhaustion. If at any point you feel ill or panic there is a guard watching over the corn maze the entire time who can help you. Be cautious that wildlife can be found in the corn so refrain from walking through or touching it. Also do not pick corn or destroy crop.
