Valentine's Day 2016

WHALE, LOVE WAS IN THE AIR

Waking up to beautiful flowers, ballon's, and a schedule full of mysterious adventure...

I just happened to have one of the best Valentines ever thanks to this handsome man. This marks our third Valentines spent together, second one as a team :) But each year he has made it nothing short of magical. Our day started at Jai Dee Thai Massage, we got a couples massage over viewing Waikiki on our rose peddle covered tables, heavenly!

And of course our day would not be complete without the beach! I am such a beach bum and could literally sit on the beach ALL DAY LONG! It is my favorite place on Earth. Yesterday we went to one of our favorite beaches called Kahala!

The best part of the day for me was going Whale Watching with Hawaii Nautical. Whales are my favorite animal and I will forever be grateful for there annual swim to Hawaii. Each year we are lucky enough to spend about 6-8 weeks with these guys and they always show off! Especially on East Side of Oahu they are always jumping out of the water, slapping their tail, and just being posers! But their are no complaints here because it is my favorite thing to do this time of year.

Honestly we were a little skeptical about seeing any whales in Waikiki because we have not seen any before, but after the boat started I honestly wouldn't have even been bothered not seeing any! Although Hawaii Nautical is so great because if you go out and do not see any whales they will take you out again no charge! But being out on the water is so relaxing and beautiful, it's impossible not to be care free!

We saw quite a few whales, usually in pods of three! What I thought was so interesting is in Waikiki the whales very rarely breach! You will see the humps and sprays and then sure enough the pop of the tail! Which I learned means they are diving down deep, which must be one of the favorite activities for the Waikiki Whales because we saw tons of tail before these giants would seemingly disappear!

Our cherry on top for the night was finishing off with dinner at Tommy Bahama Bar.  It was so delicious! We are always in search of somewhere new to eat...obviously were getting pretty adventurous now! :P But one thing I will tell you all is don't underestimate these retail store restaurants! I loved the decore, atmosphere, and most importantly the food!

I had some delicious blackened fish tacos and Rashawn had what he said were the best ribs on island! We also splurged on the crab cakes for an appetizer. Yes we did happily waddle out of there! Between all the food and delicious bread we could barley breath after.

Many hours later we were able to have tiny pieces of this Valentine's Cake I baked him! You can find this recipe in the Sav's Sweets tab and I will also link the post below and here. It was my first time ever using fondant and it was soooo fun! I really felt like I was on Cake Boss :)

And to my real Valentine...thanks for the best Valentine's Day, years of giggles, adventures, dance sessions, and being my bestie <3

I love you!
