Welcome to Hawaii - come explore in big ways ↓
beaches
While visiting Big Island I planned for some epic adventures like seeing real lava, 80 foot waterfalls and of course the green sand beach. Being one of only four in the world I knew how special this place was going to be. I briefly read up about it online but quickly learned I did not do my research well enough!

From beaches, hikes, eats adventures, and more I cover it all. People know Oahu - but not like I do.
Swimming with sea turtles (or honu here in Hawaii) is an experience unlike any other. The beaches listed below often have turtles there, but a sighting is no guarantee as these are wild animals with minds of there own :)
Welcome to your new favorite spot on the South Shore. Home to the islands BEST fish tacos, burgers, and peanut butter temptations - (if you know, you know). This eclectic grill proudly sits on the heart of Monsarrat and is a place not to miss on the island.
Did you celebrate National Trails Day on Saturday!? I did by checking a brand new hike off my list! The Ehukai Pillbox has now taken second place behind Crouching Lion on my favorite hikes on Oahu list. What is more refreshing than standing underneath a Hawaiian Waterfall? It's hard to think of many things better! If you are on Oahu and looking for a moderate adventure, than hiking to Hanama and Wahie'e falls is a perfect activity for you!
Back in 2013 I made the life changing decision to go to the University of Hawaii at Manoa. My decision to come here was pretty easy. I was recruited to swim for the D1 program here, and knew I wanted to go to a school by the beach. After a few trips to Florida and one to Hawaii -- the decision was effortless. Over the next 3 years I got to have one of the most unique college experiences.
It's a cream puff, no it's a donut, no it's a MALASADA! This Oahu sweet treat is an iconic part to any trip to Hawaii. The bakery opened in 1952 selling a delicious array of sweet treats. Once the malasadas were introduced in 1953 Leonards became an iconic spot.
